The backup plan.....

Everything can change in a second.

Trust me, I know.

After selling my agency, I thought I had it all figured out. Escape Velocity by 2027.

Never having to worry about money again. Living the dream.

But life has a way of humbling you.

You're reading this right now, probably feeling good about where you are.

Business is solid.

Income is steady.

Everything's going according to plan.

Until it's not.

Here's the brutal truth that nobody wants to talk about: Success isn't just about the wins.

It's about what you do when everything goes to shit.

When I was younger, I missed opportunities.

Big ones.

Why?

Because I was in a bad mood.

Because I didn't know who to call.

Because I was scared.

What a waste.

Life throws opportunities at you every single day.

But here's the catch – they're time-limited.

That golden chance?

It's not waiting around for you to feel ready.

I learned this the hard way.

But I also learned something else: When your back is against the wall, that's when

you find out what you're really made of.

You've got two choices: Roll over and die. Or bet on yourself.

And then bet again. And again. And again.

Most people talk about having a backup plan like it's admitting defeat.

Like planning for failure means you're expecting it.

Bullshit.

A backup plan isn't about failure.

It's about being so confident in your ability to succeed that you're ready for anything.

Think about it.

What would you do if it all disappeared tomorrow?

How would you start over?

Who would you call?

If you don't have answers to these questions, you're not playing the game right.

Because here's what separates the players from the spectators: Players know that every setback is just setting up their next comeback.

I got lucky once.

Got a call that changed my life after several people turned it down.

But you know what?

I said yes.

Even though it was painful.

Even though it was difficult.

Even though it meant uprooting everything.

I got on that airplane and got it done.

Now I'm asking you:

  • What opportunities are you letting slip by?

  • What excuses are you making?

  • What's holding you back?

Stop for a second and ask yourself:

  • What does success look like in 5 years?

  • What kind of impact do you want to make?

  • What's the lifestyle you want to create?

If you can't answer these questions with crystal clarity, you're already behind.

Because when shit hits the fan – and it will – you need to know exactly what you're fighting for.

Your backup plan isn't just about survival.

It's about having the confidence to take bigger swings because you know you can handle any outcome.

It's about being able to say yes to opportunities when others hesitate.

It's about being ready when lightning strikes.

It's about building something so solid that even your Plan B is better than most people's Plan A.

This isn't motivational bullshit.

This is survival.

Because one day, you'll face your moment of truth.

And in that moment, all that matters is whether you're prepared to bet on yourself one more time.

So what's it going to be?

Are you going to keep playing it safe, hoping nothing goes wrong?

Or are you going to build something so solid that you can take the big swings that change lives?

The choice is yours.

But remember: Everything can change in a second.

Make sure you're ready when it does.

To your freedom,

Mike
